Black Nano Genius function

Ever get fed up playing the same songs in your playlists over and over again. Well Apple have introduced a new feature to the Black pod nano called the Genius. The Genius function is now featured in all the latest pods for 2008 including the iPod Classic and iPod Touch portable players.

Genius will locate the songs in your playlists and decide using some quite clever technology what other tracks on your black nano you may like to listen to.

The Genius feature on the Black Nano 4G will also suggest to you a whole new list of songs that might interest you that can then be downloaded from the iTunes Store.

Nano Black iPod User Interface

The user interface of the black nano has also been refined to allow the user the tilt the portable player thus changing the display to Cover Flow. This function known as the Apple Accelerometer is also great for playing games on the black 8GB nano. If you move or tilt the nano the games will respond to your actions. The Maze Game comes supplied with Black Nano and other games have been developed that turn the new Nano into mini handheld games console.

The black Nano 8GB features a 2 inch display that is ideal for viewing the 7000 photos that can be stored on the flash memory drive. If you go for the black Nano 16Gb this capacity is doubled to 14000 pictures.

The screen on the black Nano allows easy navigation of your albums and playlists. The screen font can also be enlarged to make it easier to read. The display can also be read in subdued lighting conditions thanks to the pod nano built in contrast and backlight settings.

New Nano Black iPod at the Movies

Of course the black Nano is not just there to look at static pictures because the user can view movies and TV shows as well. The high resolution 320 X 240 pixel screen will display all your favourite films, TV and movie clips in a high resolution format so that can have all your media with you at all times. Storage for movies on the Black 8GB come in at 8 hours and 16 hours for the black 16GB Nano. More than enough for a couple of feature films plus your favoured collection of Youtube clips.

New Nano on the Go

Power to the nano black comes from its internal rechargeable lithium battery and is recharged via its USB 2 port whilst connected to a PC computer or Mac. A power adapter is also available for the black Nano iPod but this not included in the box and must be purchased separately.
A full charge will take about three hours or one and a half hours for a fast charge that will give a 80% charge.
Normal playback of your music tracks will give about twenty four hours of playback and if you are into the odd movie then expect about four hours on a full charge.
There are iPod compatible docks on the market that can be used to charge the fourth generation black nano.
